Overview
Warts refer to hard growth on the skin. These are caused by the virus called Human papilloma virus, which is contagious and spreads by contact. Warts are usually harmless and common in children and adults. A small horny lump marks the beginning of a wart formation. Sometimes warts appear singly and at others, collectively. They often disappear spontaneously. Planter warts on the feet can sometimes be painful to an extent that walking becomes difficult. Warts appear in various shapes and sizes. Usually, they are rough elevation on the skin. Warts appear more frequently on fingers, knees, elbow and the soles of the feet. Generally, they appear as a pale skin growth.
