Freckles
Overview
Freckles may be described as flat, round, dark colored spots that range in size from about 2mm to 4mm. Freckles could be the result of pigment precipitation in one particular place, as generally the skin surrounding the spot is lighter in color. Freckles have a hereditary aspect attached to it and you are likely to inherit it, if it runs in your family. Freckles are usually of no medical consequence and do not cause any problems. Freckles are sensitive to UV rays of sunlight and hence appear more prominent during or after exposure to sunlight. Though freckles could be present all over the body, mostly they are found in areas exposed to sun.

Precautions
Freckles
Wear a hat to keep the sun from directly hitting your face.
Use sunscreen or sun block.
Avoid peak sun hours, between 10 am and 4 pm when the sun is most intense wherever you live.
Check out your medications since some things you apply to your skin or take internally may cause skin sensitivity such as antibiotics, birth control pills and some topical products that cause sun sensitivity including alpha hydroxy acids and benzoyl peroxide.
Stay as far as you can from tanning beds because these devices expose your skin to lots of pigment-inducing UV radiation; one tanning bed session is equal to a whole day spent at the beach without sun protection.

Mix a tablespoonful of oatmeal with enough buttermilk to make a smooth consistency paste. Apply this on your face. Leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash off with cold water.
When going out, apply a moisturizer and a thin film of foundation cream in a matching shade to your skin color. This will work as a barrier to your sensitive skin. It will also provide a camouflage for the freckles.
Rubbing fresh Aloe Vera juice on spotty areas and continuing with this for some time will gradually fade them.
Take 1/2 tsp of honey. Mix it with half a tsp of lemon juice. Lightly warm it and smear over your freckled face. This will help you immensely in reducing these irksome spots.
One tsp of cucumber juice with milk applied over freckles is also quite effective.
