Sunburn is the name of a burn that results from exposure to ultraviolet radiation and results in the inflammation of skin. Over exposure to sun rays and ultraviolet light are the most prevalent causes of sunburn. Though the problem does not seem to be too severe, in worst cases, it might lead to death and even permanent disability. Possibility of getting skin cancer is also not ruled out. Some of the symptoms of sunburn include pain, heat and redness in the affected area, which also becomes tender to touch.

Other Remedies

Aloe Vera is commonly used to treat sunburns. As well as providing soothing relief, it may also assist in the healing process. Apply to the affected areas as needed. Although the gel extracted directly from an aloe Vera plant works best, if you don't have ready access to one, you may use an 'over the counter' Aloe Vera Cream that contains the gel.
Apply a mixture of one part olive oil and one part vinegar to affected areas and wash it after an hour. This is another good home remedy for sunburn.
Make a mixture of wheat flour mixed with milk, olive oil, barley flour, honey, and raw egg white paste. It will be a best facial for sunburn skin.
