Cough

Cough is a very common symptom of many respiratory disorders. The reason we cough is to get rid of the irritation on the surface lining (the mucous membrane) of the throat and upper respiratory tract. Such irritation may be caused by certain foods, smoke, dust particles or excess mucus created by the membrane itself in order to soothe the irritation and inflammation resulting from an infection.
Symptoms
  • Inflammation in the lungs
  • Tightness in the chest
  • Difficulty in breathing
  • Wheezing
