Ingredients:

Urad whole   40 g
Rajmah   20 g (soaked)
Water   3 Cup
Ginger   1" piece (5 g)
Garlic   2-3 cloves
Onion   1/2 small (25 g)
Tomato   1/4 1 small (50 g)
Curd   25 g
Salt   1 tsp
Red chilli powder   1/4 tsp
Garam masala   1/4 tsp
Fat   2 tbsp
Cream   2 tbsp
 

Method:

  • Pick, wash and soak urad and rajmah.
  • Chop ginger, onion and garlic. Blanch and chop tomato.
  • Add water, soaked rajmah and urad, chopped ginger, garlic and salt in pressure cooker and cook for half an hour.
  • Mash the cooked dal. Leave it on slow fire for another half an hour. Stir frequently (add more water, if required).
  • Heat fat, fry chopped onions till golden brown. Add chopped tomato. Fry for a few minutes. Add spices and curd and let it cook for few minutes.
  • Add the boiled dal to the masala and cook on slow fire till well mixed.
  • Serve hot with cream.
