Method: |
- Prepare the cake tin by greasing and dusting with flour or by lining with paper.
- Sift the flour and baking powder together two to three times.
- Cream the butter and sugar together in bowl till light and fluffy using a wooden spoon.
- Separate the egg yolk and whites.
- Add egg yolk to the above mixture and beat will.
- Beat the egg white to a stiff peak stage.
- Now add the flour and egg white alternately into the above mixture using cut and fold method. Add vanilla essence.
- Slice apple thinly. Sprinkle lemon juice, cinnamon powder nutmeg powder and clove powder.
- Add the prepared apples into cake batter.
- Pour the mixture into a prepared tin and bake at 350 degree F (moderate oven) for 20-25 min (or till a tooth pick or knife inserted comes out clean).
- Remove the cake from tin. Cool on a wire rack before cutting.
- Serve.
