Ingredients:

Bread slices cut fine   3 big
Yoghurt beaten well   1/2 cup
Tomato finely chopped   1/2 big
Mustard seeds   1/2 tsp
cumin seeds   1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder   1/4 tsp
Chilli powder   1/4 tsp
Green chillies finely chopped   2
Curry leaves   3
Oil   1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Finely chopped coriander leaves to garnish
 

Method:

  • Soak the bread pieces in yoghurt for about 5 minutes.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and toss in the mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Fry till the seeds splutter fully. Add the curry leaves, chopped green chillies and tomato. Stir fry on medium level for about 2 minutes or till the tomatoes are cooked and soft.
  • Add the bread, salt, turmeric and chilli powders. Mix well. Cover and keep for some time before serving.
  • Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
