Channa dal |

Method: |
- Pick, clean and wash the dals.
- Add washed dals, ginger, salt and turmeric powder in a pressure cooker with water. Pressure cook for 10 minutes.
- Adjust the consistency if necessary by adding boiling water and let it simmer for a few minutes on low heat, stir frequently.
- Heat fat, fry chopped onions still golden brown. Add cumin seeds, garam masala and red chilli powder. Pour this baghar over the dal and serve hot in a bowl.
