weight loss and fat loss are 2 different ball games. Fact is, the less carbs you eat, the more fat you will burn. You want to use fat as energy, not carbs when shedding body fat. The carbs you eat, the more body fat you will carry.

Diet which suits your body composition is best for you. There is no hard and fast rule for diet. it is about the food which suits you for loosing weight.
Yea I agree with tulip_nam, you want to place emphasis on fat loss rather than 'weight loss' (muscle weighs more than fat).
And dont get impatient about getting fit. Think of it like this: if it takes someone X years of bad habits (smoking, junk food, drinking etc) to get unfit, they wont transform into Jason Stratham in a month. It will take time and consistent discipline.
Hi, you are wrong in setting your goals. Aim at Fat loss and not weight loss. weightloss can happen from loss of fluids or muscles in your body and can happen fast (which also comes back fast) while fat loss happens from loss of FAT (charbi)and it takes longer time (but is permananet and doesnt come back). So aim for fat loss, wheight loss will happen automatically. For losing fat first of all adjust your lifestyle and eating habits. I myself am 82 kgs and have a target of reaching 65 kgs by the year 2010 ends. I have already lost 6 kgs and am losing more...but the change is slow. Just have to be patient.
